By booking my place with Oxford Tango Academy, I have read all of the information provided by the website about the nature of the course and I assume responsibility for any risk which may emerge as a result of this endeavour.
I am aware that the course consists of physical movements related to Stage Tango, such as entrance-level lifts and jumps for which it is important that I am in good physical health.
Should I sustain any existing or new injuries or medical conditions pertaining to my ability to join the class, I will inform a teacher immediately. The teacher will be able to give suggestions as to how I can adapt to the class, but neither the teacher or Oxford Tango Academy will be held responsible for any outcome of these suggestions.
Limitations on Liability
I hereby agree to the following disclaimer:
Oxford Tango Academy and its members shall not be liable for any injuries, damages, or losses incurred by the student in connection with or as a result of medical, climactic or social disruptions, or difficulties, diseases, criminal acts or abnormal conditions or developments, or any other actions, omissions, or conditions outside of the control of OTA. Such events may include (but are not limited to) course cancellation due to personal emergency, cancellations in public transport, injury and illness.
No previous experience of Stage Tango is required for this course but we do ask that all participants have a level of improver or above in Social Tango. It is the student’s responsibility for following the health and safety instructions given by the teacher, such as appropriate footwear.
I understand that OTA has no control over the actions of third parties involved in the course (for example, the Church venue) and accepts no liability for any ineffectiveness, act of negligence or omission on their part, or failure to perform their duties.
Personal belongings can be left in the Church Hall where the classes take place but are at the owner's own risk.
Cancellation
The price of the course is non-refundable. It is expected to be paid within TEN DAYS of receiving an email response to the booking form, after which your place is no longer guaranteed.
If you have paid the student price, you will be asked to show a valid student ID card when you start the course.
Should I not be able to attend any of the course dates, those unused portions of the course cannot be refunded or rescheduled.
Important:
If will not be able to perform at the Oxford Tango Festival on Saturday 1st April 2023, I must notify OTA as soon as possible so that partnering arrangements can be made.
Release
I HEREBY EXPRESSLY ASSUME ALL OF THE RISKS AND DANGERS COVERED ABOVE, AND I HEREBY EXPRESSLY AGREE TO FOREVER RELEASE, DISCHARGE AND HOLD US, AND OUR AGENTS, EMPLOYEES, ASSOCIATES, AFFILIATED COMPANIES, GUIDES, AND SUBCONTRACTORS HARMLESS AGAINST ANY AND ALL LIABILITY, ACTIONS, CAUSES OF ACTIONS, SUITS, CLAIMS, AND DEMANDS OF ANY AND EVERY KIND AND NATURE WHATSOEVER WHICH YOU NOW HAVE OR WHICH MAY HEREAFTER ARISE OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH THESE RISKS AND DANGERS.
OXFORD TANGO ACADEMY RESERVES THE RIGHT TO MAKE CHANGES TO THIS POLICY AND WILL BE PUBLISHED HERE.
