Monday

St Columba's United Reformed Church, Alfred Street, Oxford, UK

Beginners

7pm - 8pm

Our beginners' classes cover the fundamentals of Tango: the walk, embrace, pivots and basic sequences. The concepts you will learn in this class are the foundation of our dance practice so it is important to spend time on these and revisit them whenever possible. You do not need any previous experience to take this class; you will be guided from the start.

Improvers

8pm - 9pm

Our Improvers class is a step up from Beginner level. In this class we apply the fundamentals of Tango to new and exciting sequences that will take your dance to a new level. Many students choose to take both classes (Beginner and Improver) one after the other as they complement each other well. A discount applies when taking both classes.

Intermediate

9:15 - 10:15pm

An intermediate group class which will take your dance to a whole new level. Students are encouraged to start creating their own sequences and linking them with fluidity and musicality. Followers are taught to be more active in their own right, making for a deeper and more meaningful connection.

Price:

  • £12 per class (£10 student / £8 OUTS student)

  • £18 per two consecutive classes (£15 student / £13 OUTS student)

We accept cash and card payments.

Please note that classes do not run on bank holidays.  Make sure to check the calendar in case of any cancellation!
Getting there:

The church is located at the very centre of Oxford, just off the High Street. It is easily accessible by bus or train. If you are driving, you may park for free on a single yellow line on the High Street after 6:30 pm (but do not drive there or park before, as there are cameras!). You can also park for a fixed evening fee on streets nearby such as Merton Street or King Edward Street.
